the top pic is of the fully programmable ecu so i can make my own timing and fuel maps and use a wideband o2.

the one below that is a laser ride height sensor that measures the distance of the car from the ground.

the one below that is a pic of the linear potentiometers that i am going to use to measure damper movement they are about a 1.5ft long

the pic below that is of the receiver for the tire pressure monitoring system which i have not received the sensors for.

not posted are the wiring harnesses which are being hand made in the united kingdom to the spec of my eclipsel, it will be about 2 weeks before i get those and they only cost $15k

all in all i am going to have about $40k in this stuff when i get it all, so i am getting away pretty cheap, with just a matter of pocket change for the cost.

now i just need to find the time to put it on, so i can go rent out a track (road course) and do some testing and tuning

and to you guys who want to know my 1/4 mile times sorry i don't run the quarter, thats kids stuff, road courses are much more challenging mentally and physically i bet a 15 year old with only a few months of driving could do the 1/4 mile. as long as it is not a sub 10sec car which most of you have

also my car looks bone stock because i don't put body kits and junk like that on its just a waste of money, and serves no purpose (except to leave you open to be made fun of by the pros)

I agree with below and retract my first post. For me its not a matter of affording it or not its a "why would ya"

its not just eclipse specific i can put it on any other car they i may get in the future to, its very versatile and expandable

Wow, someone thinks highly of themselves ... whatever tickles your pickle buddy.

What I can not figure out is if you're such a pro.... why would you be coming to these forums?

Please don't fuel this just ignore it and it will go away. The less attention you pay and everyone else the less of this you will see. We are all thinking the same thing so just don't say it.

$15,000 for wiring harnesses!?! You have got to be kidding me, that is more than your car is worth... WTF

not when its part of the car, then the car is worth $15k more

Heh, just because you put a wiring harness on your car doesnt make it worth more. Especially if its a DSM.

I'm very interested in seeing the end result with it in the car and working.

well hope you never get in a accident and total your car bud. Insurance won't pay you any of that. Guess some ppl have more dollars then sense ROFL Now don't get me wrong, I wish for you the best. But I think your nuts :|

damn u got some cash man.. hopefully all that money is worth it and makes a bigger difference than the person who only got dsmlink for <$1k

and if ur not into doing 1/4.. ur in the wrong forum and bought the wrong car.. cause thats what most DSM owners are all about LOL.. so i guess we're all kids here :thumb:

you be surprised how these cars can handle, i am not allowed in the handling section yet where the real deal is, i will post some test data maybe sunday or monday after a few laps

Haven't sold a modded car before, have you?

Do you room with InFury?

the electronics would get sold, and the car would be thrown in with it

o.k. deep pockets :D Make sure you keep us all posted on your endeavor. Your system would make a nice set up for someone with a Ferarri or Lambo. But to even think of using a system like that on a car like one of ours is well......an aquired taste??? ROFL Even though I still think your nuts, good luck and hope your able to prove me wrong.

you better have solid gold wire or something for $15k.... thats rediculous for wiring a harness, I don't care what its for

While I agree with your statement as to track taking more skill than 1/4 mile, drag racing takes some skill too. Maybe not when your running mid 14's and barely losing traction, but when you get more power than traction... its all skill.

Good luck with your install, I look forward to seeing some pics.

Dennis Grant runs a system not too much different than that.

AAhh...but he's not Dennis Grant now is he? Not questioning the capability of the system or even him...just questioning the logic in paying that kind of money on something like that. If he has that kind of money to spend on wiring harnesses...maybe he should end world hunger while he's at it...j/k
