Let us know when the cops bust you for them.

Honestly that was uncalled for. They are DOT approved lights that meet SAE standards which means thay are perfectly legal.

And your post violates the rules, Reported.

While it is nice, they are not approved for his vehicle, so they are in a "grey" area for legality. A cop can give you a ticket if he's feeling like a dick, and it will probably stick. :(

Also, i'm curious, seeing as how the daewoo (ROFL) has a projector, and a standard bulb, how are you dealing with high & low beams?

what kind of wiring was involved? Was there any problems with them drawing to much power off the electrical system?

Dude I like it! Congratulation for the creativity going on....

So where is the write up? :D

im still trying to work out some final design details and im going to try and modify it to fit 2 so there is a high beam and low beam. this is only low beams as it sits. ive been mocking up tons of different ways to do the high beams.

a quick writeup on how i did it this way is.

Take apart the whole light housing. remove the "bucket" (where the stock light sits in).
Take a peice of sheet metal and cut it to the pattern of the bucket. drill 4 holes to allow the stock screws to hold it in place.
Measure out the center of the plate and cut a hole the size of your projector.
Line the hole with a slit peice of rubber hose (fuel line)
install projector and plate into bucket and screw down. the bulb should stick out the back.
Cut a chunk out of the back bracket on the car (the one witht the hole in it to allow access to the plug) otherwise when the lights are in the down position the bulb will smash into the bracket (just look and you will see)
screw everything back together and aim them.

Thats just a quick writeup, i have the pictures and everything on my other comp so i dont have access to them.

yes like the attached image. the plate just sandwitches the projector into the stock housing. it works great for my projectors but depending on the design of some others it might not work as good

and to answer some of your questions

High beam is in the works still. im thinking about using ten 5 watt inverted led's
seal is waterproof, it has rubber gaskets on the bulb and on the mounting plate.
adjustment is the same as stock. the adjustment screws on the top and side.

Well, seeing as Defiant is one of the oldest members and a moderator...I don't think reporting would help much anyway. But props for doing something with the headlights.
