I picked up a 90 Talon TSi AWD yesterday for $400. The thing over heated and doesn't run now. It has 120k on it, has a bad dent in the fender, but overall is in pretty good shape. I pulled the spark plugs and there was a bunch of oil on them so either a headgasket went or the rings are shot. I am going to fix it up and see if I like it better than my 93 Talon TSi FWD (55k miles) and sell one of them!

Way dirty, but here are some pics. :thumb:

if you don't wanna mess with it just throw it up on the classifieds or trader and I'm sure you'll get tons of response. Or you could part it out...I AM looking for a new 14b :sneaky:

Yeah I am pretty excited. I started tearing it apart yesterday. Everything is bone stock and very dirty but still intact. The downpipe bolts are giving me hell, especially the connection to the catback because I can't fit the impact on one of them. Never the less, I should have the thing running within the next couple weeks; I think I am going to keep it and sell my '93 TSi.

One of my good DSM buddies said I should sell the 90 cause it's way different as far as trannies and wiring, etc. and that I should keep my 93. What do you guys think? The car is going to be used for a daily driver only with stock turbo and stock fuel. Overall the 90 is in better shape than my 93 but my friend thinks I'll have more problems with the 90. :(

Yeah, '90's have the air to air oil cooler and 3bolt rear ends, but...

I would stick with the '90 because, first of all, it's a DSM, it going to have problems if you have a '90 or a '93. Second, you say daily driver, but you never know, and AWD is always a plus at the track, or on the road. And, I love the pop up headlights and full wrap around wing.

Keep the '90 or give it to me.
