Finally got my spyder started up a few hours ago, but had to shut it down to fix a coolant leak. Got that done, started out for test drive and almost felt like car had hesitation in initial acceleration. So I drove back around the block, got in my garage. When I open the throttle some, sounds like there's a slight rattle in the engine, but not when at idle. Anyone got ideas?

It could be so many things! A heat shield? I've used a stethoscope before to narrow down odd sounds before... I have a couple weird squeaks and rattles, it gives it character.. I also read, w/o balance shaft and lightened flywheel will make some weird sounds.

I've been needing to buy a stethoscope for some time, guess now is a good time. Really don't think it's a heat shield, I tightened those down, but anything is possible. To me, the noise seems localized around cylinder 4. My friend who was with me said he couldn't hear anything thing. I honestly hope this was all just in my head, but I need to make damn sure before I end up wasting all the time and money by not checking.
