hey im buying these parts offa buddy.

I was planning on going bigger turbo and injectors. but i think i will go this way:

3 inch gm maf
gm maft v 2.01
dejon upper pipe with elbow for maft
turbo xs RFL
Walbro pump 190lph
650 cc injectors

all i have now is
a 3' n1 exhaust
and a pocketlogger with mmcd
and the free mods are done

what am i to expect with these mods?
or is anything missing that i should maybe look into?

thanks guys
this site is always helpful!

Pretty much, those parts won't gain you any noticeable power. They're all supporting mods for a bigger turbo setup.

you gonna need some sort of fuel managment for your 650's. I'm sellin an afc2, shoot me a pm if you want.

That's what the MAFT is for. There is a classified section, don't whore your parts in the general forums.

Eliminating the stock MAF and going with the GM hotwire type will help flow in the upper RPM and should get you a couple hp, but Keymaster is right. You've just got supporting mods. Don't expect much.

ok if these are all supporting mods.
then im guessing it would be an excellent time to finally crank up my stock turbo?
if I'm trying to get just get a mid-low 13, then should i bother upgrading my turbo?

i hate being a noob, but i love learning about these things.
thanks again guys!

Unfortunately, the stock turbocharger on the 2g eclipse are anemic to say the least. They provide good boost response because of their diminutive size, but cannot efficiently support elevate air flow rates which are required for big horsepower. Sure you can crank up the boost, but you'll be blowing mostly hot air.
As air temperature increase, the density decreases meaning less horespower potential and will so lower your threshold for detonation (not desirable).
Given the mods you've listed, a 16G upgrade is in order. There are also T3/T4 setup that will work great for you. See what your budget can handle. (Word of advice... try to stay away from the cheap Ebay bullshit. There's a reason that stuff is so cheap)

Then I guess it's a good thing he has a 1G car huh? Honestly if you're not going to even bother reading his vehicle profile before you go spouting off advice that has been given over and over on this site then don't bother posting. His stock turbo, in good working order, will take him well into the 12's 13's won't be a problem. I would however look into a better way of managing fuel. The high timing you will experience from using the MAFT to tune for the 650's will make pump gas a PITA. If you're EPROM and on a budget look into a chip from Keydiver.

ok good to know. i was also thinking of getting dsm link.. instead of chipping it, dont got eprom anyways... and im getting a laptop given to me for my job. that will help everything out will it not? thinaks again guys

Obviously it'll cost more, but you'll also (obviously) get more. The choice is up to you, but if you had the extra money I would go for it.

DSMlink is probably the single best mod you will ever do to your car. It is truly invaluable and for us 2G guys the only way to log knock retard. I cannot say enough good things about Tom and Dave over at ECM Tuning, DSMlink is a great product and customer service is second to none. :thumb:
