Im not sure if this has been covered before but here it goes. A buddy of mine has a brand new Exedy stage 2 for sale. Not sure if its the thick 3 puck or the thin 3 puck. Also one of the shift cables was stretched or warped then broke. I have new shift linkage and a new Shep stage 2 transmission waiting to go in!!!!
When I got the car you had to pull the shifter like you were going to go into 2nd gear before putting it into first, otherwise it would grind 90% of the time. None of the other gears grinded. Then after time the clutch quit fully disengaging when the clutch pedal was fully depressed.
I have the adjusting sleeve on the clutch master cylinder ALL the way backed out to increase the total throw of the pedal. I replaced the master cylinder. I have the braided stainless steel clutch line going to the slave cylinder. And I think he said he had a 2g push rod on the slave cylinder. Currently there is an ACT 2600 in the car and It still grips like no other.
I read on sheps website that with stronger clutches they require more pedal travel. I want to know if anyone has SOLID information on the pedal travel of an ACT 2600 or the Exedy stage 2. Im guessing the thinner disc would require less pedal travel to get it to dinengage.
THe pedal assemble Is fine its a buschur racing pedal assemble and was installed by a guy who has an 8 sec evo built it all himself. Im sure that is fine.
I DONT WANNA GRIND GEARS ANYMORE!!!!!
Is there anything im missing? Also the car has a welded center diff. Didnt really want that but her what are you gonna do when an awesome deal comes along?
I really hope someone can help me. I just wanna shift like a mofo
