dsmloggers.com talk to greg tell him gary referred you. ask for the color upgrade with the hotsynch cable to go cradleless.

other than that the data loggers are great anything to keep an extra eye on your cars performance is a good thing. its another oppinion on what you think is wrong or wright with your car. dont forget to talk to mike.

I am as well in need of some sort of logging program. I'm thinking about pitch'n the SAFC and just going with DSMlink. Unfortunatly, cash is not in hand and I lack a laptop...so it will be awhile until I can purchase one. My AEM UEGO was recently installed, but I dont want to adjust anything with out knowing my knock, timing, etc. Is the Palm M100 worth the price for now to tune w/SAFC? Is it, or any datalogging software around the same price, compatable w/logging my UEGO's AFR?? What route would you guys take?? Thanks in advance.

Yet that too... Good question. That is what I am looking for as well.

I like my m125. The backlight is a good feature.
MMCd is open source, when means free to download. It works quite well. I have the newest version on my palm (1.8g). I also use Technomotive on my laptop, which is good as well.

Everyone should get a datalogger. A $50.00 Palm m125, free software, and a home-made cable saved my car's life when a bolt broke off of the CAS and made my timing jump to 150*. If my logger wasn't plugged in at the time, I wouldn't have known until it was too late.
*gets off soap-box*

Be careful when buying a PDA. IF you're springing for a better model, this could bite you. I've not been able to find any PDA logger software that works with a USB-port-enabled PDA (I have a Palm Tungsten E and it won't work with anything out there). Just be sure you check with the logger software vendor to insure that the PDA you plan to buy is compatible, because newer doesn't mean better in this regard.

Also, some of the PDA logger tools require a specific interface (connects your PDA serial port to the car's OBDII diagnostic port). For example, the Palm'n'stein tool requires the Multiplex Engineering T16-003 interface (~$82), but OBD Gauge supports both the Multiplex and Elm interfaces. If you choose a tool that supports the Elm-style interface, there is a nice tech article describing how to make your own:

Good luck!

Oh, and you have to keep in mind that 1G and 2G loggers are different. Be sure to check that anything you are looking to buy is for 2G; if not, it may not work for your car. The interface will definitely be different. The tech article above is for a 2G interface.
