I got a 96 gsx with a 3in catless exhaust on and i live in illinois.
Emission testing starts at 96. Now im throwing 2 codes
Po170 & po125
these codes never appeared until i did my exhaust so i installed the spacer to the rear o2 and have yet to still change the pre o2. But i was wondering if anbody has encountered this or ive also heard about a o2 simulator which ive heard works for ppl. What im trying to acheive is to fake the o2 reading so it doesnt trigger my cel so i can pass emissions.

Is this a safety inspection, or an actual emissions test where they test the exhaust? If it is an actual emission test than there is very little chance that you will pass without a cat.

Ok i will check tht front o2 i was gonna change it but need a torch to heat up so im waiting to do it at work. I juat figured id throw a spacer in the rear o2. And this is just an emission test where u roll up then plug something in the obd and if u got no codes u pass

Darn those scrap guys! If it had your cat on it, that's probably what they were after!

Hopefully a simple o2 sensor replacement fixes your issues! Don't forget to clear the codes before starting up!

I hope i got the sensor im gonna try to apply heat. Then see what happens[DOUBLEPOST=1411441883][/DOUBLEPOST]So i changed the o2 lights off for now let's se what happens... does anyone know how to make a o2 simulator?
