passing emissions

Mods are in profile. The previous owner removed all emissions lines, but should the car still pass if I added a converter? This is in NY. I need to get the car inspected soon, but I don't want to waste money on a converter if it still wont pass.

You might want to look into that. I know here some places could care less and not even lift the car to see. I guess it just different where you plan to go. I would check your local law book for state inspections to see.

Thanks for the response. I'm only worried about the actual emissions testing. My guys won't fail me for any mods, SAFC, emissions removal or anything like that, but they wont fudge my actual test.
