Hey all,

I'm trying to get this talon ready to sell, so I pulled out the carpet and seats and cleaned them up all nice. Well I went to put the carpet back in and found that the passenger door is locked and the lock is seized somehow. It worked fine last week. What this means is that I can't put the damn seat back in, and I can't set the carpet back down either.

The power locks do not unlock it, the key from the outside doesn't unlock it, and when I push the tab from the inside, it moves a bit but won't fully disengage the lock. On the driver's side, when I lock and unlock the door (with the lock tab) I can hear a motorized or electric device doing something inside the door clasp mechanism. I'm wondering if there is a similar device on the passenger side that is maybe seized up and not allowing the door to unlock. I can't hear anything electronic in the passenger door when I try to unlock it.

Does anyone have any ideas what I can do to get this door open? I can't remove the interior panel because the door is shut. My only real access is through the window slot without hacking a hole in the door panel.

Resolved. The solution is to man up, grab the damn door panel and yank/break it until you can get a can of wd40 and some pliers behind it. The panel survived without too much damage, still usable.
