I blew my stock tansmission in my 1992 n/t fwd 6 bolt Talon, and didn't want to go back to a factory 1g transmission due to the fact that the two 1g transmissions that had already been installed previously both shifted like crap. I didn't have the cash for a performance transmission build and still be able to get a new flywheel and clutch so this is the setup I went with, and it worked beautifully.
I highly recommend doing this if you're sick of your stock 1g transmission shifting like complete garbage.
Parts used: *Remember this is for a fwd 6 bolt application only, this has been done in awd applications, but this will only cover the fwd transmission swap*
1) FWD transmission from a 2g turbo DSM
2) 6 bolt aluminum Fidanza 8 lb. flywheel
3) I used a stage 2 turbo clutch (use a turbo clutch to match up with the turbo transmission all the turbo clutches through all years are the same)
4) front cv axles from a 1994 fwd turbo DSM
5) I used stock shift cables and brackets with the 2g turbo transmission and had no shifting or clearance issues WITHOUT modification to the shifter arms.
6) The transmission mount from the 1g DSM will just BARELY work if you remove the studs that are screwed into the top of the 2g turbo transmission, but I would suggest having a new bracket fabricated for better support.
7) I used a urethane mount for a 1g DSM and it worked fine. No problems there.
8) For the slave cylinder bolts, use 2.5" bolts of the same pitch and thread diameter to mount the slave cylinder correctly to the transmission.
9) The following is a link posted by treebonker (http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/art...ngth-pitch-location-part-number-pictures.html). This information applies to putting the 2g transmission in a 6 bolt 1g DSM. If the link does not work, here is the exact information as follows:
This applies to both AWD & FWD, M/T & A/T (97+ A/T uses MF140271 for the "U" bolt). Thread pitch are all 1.25mm.
* V (MF140471) : M10 x 65mm
* U (MF140226) x 2 : M10 x 40mm
* Y (MD740892) : M10 x 43.5mm
* Q (MD706012) : M8 x 60mm
* The Q bolt (red arrow) is the only bolt that goes in from the block side and threads into the transmission.
* There should be hollow dowel pins(MD020260) at V Q where the bolt goes through to align the block and transmission.
* The U bolt above V is not used when you swap a 6bolt block to your 2G tranny.

Everything will match up perfect except for the above stated transmission mount. No starter clearance issues. I used Royal Purple in the 2g turbo transmission and it shifted like hot melted butter.
Hope this helps out, I spent hours upon hours uncovering information for this swap to be successful when I needed quick information for this is my daily driver.
