I recently got my car back from a shop for a head replacement. It runs ok now, after having some roasted valves, but now i'm having some issues with my idle. Got a P0505 code last week, ordered and replaced my ISC, still having the same issue. I meter tested my TPS, and it seems ok. It's really bugging me, (idle is around 1200-1500 when the car warms up).. i'm already ready to just throw in the towel and list the pos on the classifieds..

Anyways, while looking around the engine bay, I noticed some loose stuff. I'm wondering what they are and if they could possibly be related to my problem?

Check these out and please any help is greatly appreciated.

I found this thing hanging under my uicp. It has a bolt hole on it that is worn, it looks like it was bolted onto something. I'm wondering what it is? I can't find it in my Haynes book.

And directly behind the throttle body i noticed this orange plug looking thing.. I don't know what this is either. There's another loose blue thing, but that's always been there since i've owned the car.. I don't recall noticing the orange one.

ok to answer the 1st question, that is the knock sensor plug, go to this thread http://dsmtuners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=235538

scroll down to post #10 for some pics as to where that bracket mounts (on the back side of the head to the left of the pcv valve area) when looking at engine from in front of car.

not exactly sure what the 2nd pic is (most likely one plug used for setting the idle speed correctly and the other for adjusting engine timing)
