This topic hasnt really been discussed in the recent years, but my check engine light came on while driving on the freeway the other day and I would like to diagnose it. I have a palm pilot and cables, but am unable to locate the software to download on the computer to connect with the palm. I had it previously, but the battery died years ago and sold the dsm, then purchased another 1gb recently. Any help would be greatly appreciated, as to my inexperience with this thing. So in summary, I need to know if the palm pilot software is still available, i downloaded mmcd software from source forge or something, but cant connect to my pc. Thanks again.

Ah yes, the Palm desktop. The link I posted is for the Mmcd program to put on the palm.

So, the link Buddahboost posted is the program you need to install on your desktop/laptop to be able to communicate with the palm, and the link I posted is the program you are going to load onto the palm.

I have an m515 if I recall correctly. I have downloaded the software to put on the palm, but have been using Google of and on for many hours trying to find the software for the computer to hotsync them or whatever it is called. I'll try it soon and give an update.

Palm desktop is whats used to sync the palm and the desktop/lalptop.

What version did you download? If you have a palm m515 then this is what you need. Other versions will not sync them

From there set up the program. Then you should see on the icons (where the clock is lower right corner) a red/blue swirl. Right click and depending on if you have a usb or serial connection. You need to pick which one you have.

Its been some months since I just did this and don't recall anything about Chinese

Then you should open the hot sync manager and add the programs/apps

So I downloaded the program, unfortunately, the HP website that was posted is not functioning. Either way, downloaded the palm software and mmcd to transfer to the palm. It is in the hot sync manager but I cannot get the palm to hot sync with my computer. The PC's specs work with the software, but it is not syncing... :(
