In the palm n' stein threads that I found when searching, nobody mentioned anything of having this problem. I've had the palm n' stein for awhile now, the majority of the time it was permanently connected in the car. Ever since I unhooked it from the car (I now only hook it up when I need to log), it takes FOREVER to get 'connected'!! I'll tell it to start logging and it will constantly say "no rev," "Unable to connect." I talked with Eric D. from dsmloggers.com and he had no idea. Anybody ever had this kind of problem? Could it be my OBD II port? I have a talon and I know they wern't exactly acclaimed on their electrical engineering...So anyway, I need help on how I can turn the palm on and log immediately instead of sitting there and unhooking it over and over hoping that it will start working. Thanks for the help.

Have you tried reinstalling it?
Sometimes I have gotten the "no rev" message and I just hot sync it again.

What do you mean hot sync it again? Reintstall the program on the logger? I could definetely try. I just did it since my batteries in the palm had died since last fall, so I did just reinstall the logger program, but I can certainly try it again.

On mine (an old m100) the cable has a little button on it, that when pressed, and connected to your computer, it wil update the palm's files.
Or you can do the reinstall too. Once I have had to delete palm'n'stein from the logger, connect to my computer, and hot sync to update. Worked fine after that.

well I'm thinkin mine is a pretty old m100 also, it came with the kit from dsmloggers and as ya know was only a refurbished one. My cord also has that button on it. Okay so I'll just try to update the files and/or reinstall the program. I need my logger to work!!! ha okay thank you for your advice!

okay so I've reinstalled the palm n' stein software. Hooked it all up, very first time it works. But it freezes after maybe 10 or 15 seconds, then shuts down. After that, i continue to only get the 'no rev' sign. So unless I can get this fixed so I can log, I'm kinda f-ed. I'm reading through the Haynes manual, and in the OBD-II section, I'm thinking that I should take it to the mitsubishi dealership and have the Powertrain Control Module checked. It seems that that piece should be my first suspect. Has anyone ever had problems with their PCM before or anything causing the OBD-II port to stop working? I even went to AutoZone and borrowed their scan tool, and that wouldn't even connect. Thanks for the help.

Edit!!! I've just been doing more searching and some people said that there is a fuse you can check to make sure the OBD port is working. Anybody know which fuse it is I can check?
