just bought my logger from dsmloggers.com and I am having lots of
trouble with the player software. I have done the installation
about a million times all with the same result and I even tried it
on 2 different computers. I also have been speaking with the guy at
dsmloggers and he is stumped as well.

What is happening is once I open the player and click on the palm &
stein button I get the option to select the comm port so I select
comm 1 and hit ok. Then I get the error message that says; palm
access error: -103

I have hotsync'd the palm to the normal palm software so I think the cable is good but I cant access the log that way for some reason.

I cannot figure this one out and I am hoping that someone can offer
some advice on this. I have recorded two logs and I would love to
read the charts on my computer to analyze them but I cant till this
is solved, so any and all help will be very much appreciated.

if your using a palm zire 71 like i am you will prolly have the same prob if its newer version. the guy at digialtuning whne asked if i should cut the 8th pin on the serial side said that it should matter. i was getting any connection so i said screw it and ut it anyway asoon as i plugged it in it almost instantaneous connected. so that might be your prob.

I am using the palm m100 with palm & stien software. I can log from car and hot sync to the computer so I think that my connection through the cable is ok. I just cant read the files through the player.

Problem solved, the hotsync program was running in the background causing all the trouble.

Thanks,
Ben
