Painting rims.. Hyper black, or gun metal?

We are painting the rims to my freinds 96 Talon, but what color do you guys think would look better? Hyper black, or gun metal? We are going to try to polish the lip but the rims are kind of scratched up. Also do you think we should paint the calipers silver to make the rims stand out a bit more? Heres some pictures.

I think with that color I'd prefer a darker black. Gunmetal just doesn't look too good in my head.

As for paint, do a search, you'll find numerous wheel painting threads.
