Painting Plastic Qustion

Just got a new plastic/aluminum radiator and wanted to know if there is a paint that would work and look good in aluminum to paint the black plastic to make it look a little better.

Krylon makes a paint call "Fusion" that sticks to plastics wonderfully. I'm not sure if they make an aluminum color, but I'd imagine that they do.

Goodson aluminum paint has actual aluminum flex in it and it looks real close to actual aluminum.Tool and supplies for engine builders is whats on the can,(ALB-1)is part #. This paint sticks to plastic well with proper prep(clean,no grease,light sand). Best aluminum paint I've found that actually looks like aluminum when finished IMO.The paint is made in USA so you should be able to find.Hope this helps.

i agree with velocitapaola that paint is great on plastic with no sanding required i just painted some of my plastics inside my car with great results. try it, it only cost like $3.99 a can at my ace hardware you wont be disappointed if you follow there directions.

The best way i would say to do it is use a plastic promoter its made by dupont i dont know the part #but any paint store should have it you spray it on and you spray the paint on top of the promoter. It sticks very well. well we use it at work on plastic bumpers it work great..........IT COMES IN AN AEROSOL CAN

A radiator end tank isn't really something you want to subject to solvent attack. Just another thought.

i just used that fusion paint to spray my greddy type-s bov red and it stuck on that smooth finish really well. all i had to do is add three coats for a PERFECT finish. everyone i have shown says that it came like that and i didnt paint it.
