hey guys, i live about half hour north of seattle. im thinkin about getting a respray of the factory coat, want it done right, dont want it peeling or anything. my question is does anyone have a good recomendation for a REPUTABLE paint shop in the area? id drive as far south as renton, as far north as bellingham. also looking for something reasonalely priced. i dont want a 4k paint job... probably just need to sand down everything primer, a few base coats, and a few clear. want door jams done, engine bay isnt too crucial at the moment, not trying to pull the motor a second time LOL and i want factory paint**!:rocks:
thanks in advance for the recommendations! also, something with a warranty would be nice incase for some reason of normal wear and tear that it would start to chip or peel.

only saying this because its cost effective and works pretty well. if there is a harbor freight near you and you have a air compressor and some time. you would have the ability to do it yourself. I did my car with no prior experience, besides air brushing model cars. sand it down as much as you can then get a 20 dollar air gun from harbor freight some rustoleum paint or since you want your factory color go to a paint shop and have them match it might cost you 100 dollars for a gallon but should be plenty for your car. put a coat on sand and so on until you reach your desired perfection. mine still needs another coat but looks pretty good for my first time every doing anything of that magnitude.

yeah i tend to have a problem with to much paint and getting drips :p not patient enough, i dont really trust myself to put my cars appearance in my own hands LOL, i might go white or black even, black would be more cost effective cause of the need for less coats.
even if i did do it myself, i dont know of a paint shop that i could find my factory color, i know i have the color code on the tag in my engine bay, but i dont know of a paint store that would be able to mix this.

yea here in indy theres an auto store that does paint matching called car quest. never been in there my brother was telling me about it said its like 90 dollars for a gallon of auto paint. I went with rustoleum just because I was doing black and white and its cost me 100 dollars tops for paint sand paper and paint gun tried to do roller at first and it turned out bad def. recommend using a gun on it. if you have the right amount of space. down side to rustoleum theres only so many colors to choose from if I did it again I would go to car quest so I could choose a more unique color. I got my car in april and the original red was fading and looked bad so just did a quick thing to make it look better turned out great though.

there is a car quest in seattle, at least thats what google says. ill check it out one of these days, im still sketchy about doing it myself hahah

yea I was a bit sketchy at first just gotta do alot of wet sanding only thing I couldn't do which I probably could of done but the amount of time to tape off would be crazy was my door hinges but if you do the car the same color shouldn't be an issue
