I think it looks awesome. Definately not typical and very original. It's alot wilder than I would have gone for my car. It does look good though, can't wait to see that clear coat wetsanded and Mcguires #7 polished on it.

Ummm......whoa. That sad part is, I bet that costed a pretty penny. I'll give you props for the amount of detail and creativity into that thing, but that's just too many colors and too busy for my taste. Looks like a rainbow on wheels. :barf:

Personally speaking as an artist who appreciates creativity and originality...

OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG

Tell the guys behind the paint job that they're amazing artists for me. I think this car is going to be EXTREMELY successful as a show car. The judges behind the import shows look for detail and originality, and the car has a shitload of both going on JUST in the paint job. I definitely foresee this car in a showroom surrounded by trophies shortly after its completed.

Good luck with it man, amazing ride. I'm so happy you went for something more original that the typical mixed body kit + semi-interesting solid color route.

If you thought up that paint design, HUGE props to you, if your friend at the shop did then tell him cars are his canvas and he's one hell of an artist.

Major :thumb: from me!

Amazing... OMG

Incredible looking car. You may take a lot of heat for such a custom paint job, but then again most people don't like to stand out in a crowd. Personally, I think it is great to go to great lengths like that with your car. Not sure how every once else feels, but sometimes I get sick of seeing 3 or 4 identical cars sitting at a stoplight day after day. Heck, in my apartment complex there are 7 2G eclipses and 4 of them are black. Do something to personalize you car, make it fit your personality. Keep up with what your doing, and continue to set new levels in the auto industry.

I was trying to figure out what that paint reminded me of all day. I think it reminds me alot of Rob Zombie and his work.

that paint job is insane!!!

INSANE!!!

little too many colors for my taste, people need to look at the color wheel to o stuff like that. TOO MANY COLOR

cant wait to see it fnished, im having flashbacks from the blue alpine rsx...

no its not a lowrider. the car still has the performance and handling of a true dsm. in the end, the car will end up weighing the same as a stock 2g awd (we are doing alot of weight reductions to make up for the stereo which will not be big anyways) the suspension has already been gone through with kyb shocks and lowering springs. i pretty much wanted to deviate from the "cookie cutter" 2g eclipse image. not that there is anything wrong with that, but if you want to get attention at a show or track you need to be different and creative. we need a show car to represent our shop at all of the car shows locally and a dsm with a kit, rims and a mild motor build just isn't cutting it. thanks again for the comments guys, good and bad :)

Great explanation. I never like a ton of colors, a crazy paint job isn't too bad, I like when cars stand out but like...... let me find a pic of that all blue ghost flamed Eclipse, it looked tight, crazy ass paint job but kept it the same color/ I dunno im big on color schems that match, not rainbow cars. Props for all the work invested tho

I love it!!!! Seriously, that is really sweet. I love show cars have soo much detail but dude, that elapses pretty much any show car I've ever seen. However, I live in the middle of Texas so we don't get much exciting stuff but wow! I would seriously drive that mofo on a daily basis just to show it off everyday. I'd flip on my shades, turn up some Nelly, & roll....
I'm going to be going show in a couple of years when I get a higher paying job(after college). I hope to custom the exterior in yellow with little black dragons similar to all the skulls you have.
Anyways, keep up the good work.
I'd roll in that.

When I see something that pleases me, I'll make sure you're the first to know.

Sweet job. I like it. I'm not really in to the skulls and stuff, but its your car. Can't imagine how much that cost. I can't imagine what driving a car with that kind of paint on it. When I got my CF hood, I was so paranoid of getting it chipped. Post some pics after its all finished.

damn, where do u have all that time and money from?

nice job,but i would be scared to leave it outside.

For real. It's going to really suck if some jealous bastard keys your car or something like that...

Sweet!:D Your going to do great as a show car. It takes a lot to win at shows. You have to be different and stand out, which you have done. If I saw you pull up, I wouldn't even enter! Great job!

i honestly have less than $10,000 (including the price of the car) into the entire project. we just budjeted everything out to the penny. also, alot of the parts on the car were custom built to save cash.

That's just insane man. people on here are too critical, and conceited.. Some people just sit on here all day bashing other people for doing their own thing. The whole purpose in "modifying" your car is making it your own and different than the 40 year old mother with 2 kids driving the same car as you.. anyways.. I think its sweet, i wouldn't personally drive that as a daily driver but i'd probably gasp for air if i saw it at a car show..

dude that is sweet from the side def nice its too wild for me to drive cause i like the sleeper look but that is def worth some props under 10k for the whole thing def worth it man keep it up youll be winning shows serious

the only thing i think it needs is some dark headlights the stock ones just dont go with the wild look maybe some black projectors

that paint job is nuts, i wish i had the creativity and cash to put up something like that... im nervous about repainting mine black haha
