After a large ordeal that I'm going through, I need some verification with the P1300 DTC/CEL.

I need anyone with ECMLink to check to see if it comes on for you under these circumstances.

Check the check box for looking for a CEL for the evap, EGR, MDP (most likely not the reason but I had it checked), and check the ground timing pin.

Do a CEL update and see if the 1300 code pops up. Please let me know if it does or does not.

Will only take less than a minute to test for me
Thanks

You would think no one has link on here...

I just need to know if the timing pin on a 2g being grounded out causes that CEL to pop on or not.

Dave from ECMLink posted this

"Bench testing shows that the DTC P1300 appears whenever the Ground timing connector to ECU checkbox is checked, regardless of the state of the Evap/EGR/MDP DTC enable checkbox. This DTC is not a latched DTC, so it automatically clears as soon as the timing-check connector is no longer grounded.

Bench testing with a MUT-II on a completely stock '95 ECU shows identical behavior when physically grounding ECU pin 52.
