Overboost/stalling after decellaration

So I just got my first DSM three days ago. I have been an avid SRT 4 guy for years now but i stumbled upon a 97 tsi in absolutely awesome condition. Runs great, no leaks, inside and out is clean as can be. White with the tan leather. Im loving the car but i seem to be having an issue. If i push the gas past half to three quarter throttle, i spit, pop and nose dive hard. According to the boost gauge i run upwards of 20 plus psi. Also upon decel after a hard pull like this, she doesnt like to stay running very well. keeps idoling down to almost a stall. and sometimes actually does. Have gone all through it so far, new plugs, wires, fuel filter, vacuum checks, every thing i can think of. As long as i stay half throttle she runs great though. Any kind of help on this would be great guys. thanks.....

Pics coming soon....gotta wash this filthy girl. the snow and shit through northern cali and into oregon and back turned my snow white angel into 5 shades of dirt...detail job tomorrow and then a nice little photo shoot wit a couple friends on top of the local parking garage....SoCal sunshine is great for some awesome pics. Even made my pissed off neon look good!!!

Since you have successfully fixed your problem, you should mark this thead resolved. It is as simple as clicking the drop down menu titled "thread tools" and selecting mark thread resolved. Keep an eye out for the shift key, can't start bad habbits this early off in the game. Congrats on the diagnosis and good luck with the trip!
