I had this same problem for almost a year now and this past december when installing my new megan turbo back, I decided to drain the radiator, install a new thermostat and new thremostat cap (radiator cap) and problem solved:thumb:
What was my problem? well I thought that maybe my thermostat was staying open or staying closed. So I just decied to change it. Why radiator cap? Well, after my car would heat up, some of the antifreeze would spill from the coolant reservior. So I decided to get another cap. Besides, it was getting old:p
I had to drain the coolant because upon working with my exhaust and trying to fit a stupid ssautochrome o2 dump, which I later found out that it didn't propertly mate with my 3 inch dp. I accidentaly damaged the water hard line that goes from the thermostat housing to the oil cooler. Had a major spill of coolant. The water line was repaired with JB weld.[great stuff by the way]. So I decided to flush and fill the radiator. Now my car doesn't heat up anymore.:rocks:
