ok, so i have it installed, this time no leaks! and im pretty sure there isnt a boost leak (hence it might be over boosting) and had a question. i DONT have a logger/ecmlink yet, and not sure what its running, nor have the cash even for a boost gauge yet. i took it out for a much needed spin around my housing, and i know the stock boost gauge is unreliable, but i did the bcs mod, and just after 3k rpm its already topping of the stock gauge! it pulls really well too, not bad for not being ran in a while. i havent taken it in any other gear than 2nd, im in housing, and it has bad plates, so no cruising on hi-way. i heard stock boost is 10psi..im topping gauge out, or sweep is bad.

Are you using a manual boost controller ? Do you still have a boost source nipple like the original j pipe o the turbo ?

At the moment i have no manual boost controller and the j pipe with the punishment kit has no nipple, i tied in the wastegate with the bov which run off the nipple on the manifold like my last talon that only ran 10psi like that with an evo316g, but this one is running 15psi according to the gauge i hooked up, i thought wastegate pressure was 10 or 11psi, maybe i have a vacuum leak?

I recommend to drill and tap the punishment racing j pipe for a vacuum source just like the original stock j pipe had and to use the Bcs solenoid hooked up like stock in first pic for now. You can choose to get an mbc if you wish to eliminate the bcs. Either way tieing the wastegate in with bov is not correct.

Trans side. Press out what's in there, press in new bearings. It's pretty much an identical match for inner and outer diameters. Plus you get to stylize it a bit since bearings come in all sorts of colours ;p

Ohh I see. I have poly bushings in there now. I wonder if it would make a difference.

After talking to the guys at boostin performance about having them braze on a nipple to my j pipe since i live close to them and dont trust myself on the thinner aluminum, they said it was better to run the wastegate off of the intake manifold or after the intercooler and that tying it in with the bov is fine, i ordered a manual boost controller now though since they also told me engine vaccumm is bad for a wastegate. Im still hoping someone can confirm what wastegate pressure is on the stock wastegate since im running 15psi although i feel i should be fine since i have all the supporting mods for a bigger turbo.

As soon as you get the mbc you ordered , hook it up as you see in the image i posted up on this page ^^
+1 on choosing to get that nipple tapped on the j pipe, you will get a more accurate signal.
Also test the wastegate actuator arm to see if its still functioning properly.

The guys at boostin performance actually said its better to run it off of the manifold or after the intercooler, so im actually not getting the nipple on the j pipe, but i will hook up the mbc when i get it and the ghetto gauge suggested above is going on tomorrow until my next paycheck when i order all my gauges, i will also test the wastegate tomorrow to make sure its still good, but for now I feel safe running the 15psi with the bcs removed.
