over boosting but MBC is turned all the way counterclockwise

Take the mbc out of the equation and run the j pipe nipple to the wastegate. just to make sure that the wastegate is functioning properly . then add the boost controller back in and work from there.
 
Like GRAVEDIGGER said, I would try and get a picture of how you have it hooked up. How long have you been running the MBC? Did it just start doing it?
If I read correctly, you just hooked it up. So it probably does indeed have to do with a)a faultly MBC or b) improper installation.
 
Well, I get off it once I see it going past 17 PSI

First time in a while I'v driven it, because the throttle pedal is also sticking LOL. Yea I'll go take a picture as soon as gf frees me from phone.

I'm hopeing I dont need a new mbc. Although I could just follow the vfaq on how to build one for cheap LOL.

That's a strange looking boost controller to me.:confused: I wouldn't know which way to hook that up either. Has it ever worked correctly? I mean your other thread was started in November.... Has it ever worked correctly? If it has never worked right I would switch it around and see what happens.
 
Switch it around, try different adjustments. Thats about all you can do untill you figure it out. I have never seen on like that either:confused: Careful on the throttle thought while testing all this
 
Are you sure its not boost creep? What turbo are you running and how big is your downpipe? For example with my car, I am currently running a 14b and a 3 1/2" downpipe from my old build ( I know its too big LOL) i have my MBC set to ~10psi but it will creep to 20psi+ cause the WG cannot flow enough to keep up with the big exhaust.
 
for me, i bought a turbonetics MBC (Turbonetics Variable Boost Kit - Modern Automotive Performance). this was before i knew much about dsm's or was a part of this forum. it did the exact same thing, even all the way counterclockwise it wouldn't limit boost, luckily i didn't blow my motor OMG. after trying every possible configuration i gave up and got a hallman pro and no problems since!
 
17 PSI is the waste gate pressure on my E3 16G. That's as low as it will go.
 
Most mbc's hookup with side to wastegate, bottom to pressure source (turbo, intake mani, etc.) If you still need help, I live 1 min from Annapolis mall, you can pm me your info after the Green Bay game:rocks::hellyeah::thumb:
 
The problem to this was actually the 1g BOV that was crushed too much. When I put on greddy type s it worked perfectly. Better late then never? Now I'm having a similar issue with my new DSM. I just installed a freshly rebuilt e316g, evo 8 injectors, and fuel pump. It wasnt happening with my T-25 at all. I suspect boost creep because even without MBC its trying to go over 20PSI. Having turbine housing ported and we'll see what happens.
