Allright heres the scoop, installed a turbonetics 57 trim a few weeks back with punishment o2 housing with tial 38mm mvs wastegate. Have the mbc turned right down and just running off gate pressure (17psi) and everything has been boosting nicely. So I jack my car up, change the oil and notice the rubber cap I put on the Intercooler pipe nipple (extra boost source) was split. I recapped it finished up with the oil change and ever since then i get 1psi of boost 2 if I'm lucky. I addressed the only small exhaust leak I had, have boost leak tested about 50 times and get nuthing but the one tiny leak at bov flange (that is fixed) I tried running straight from compressor nipple to the gate and get same result, 1psi of boost, I took the hose off completely (uncontrolled boost) and it jumps up to about 18 psi in a few seconds of getting on the gas. I have no clue as to why I'm not building boost, Ive searched forums for every boosted vehicle there is and cant find an answer. I'm guessing wastegate stuck open but I talked with punishment and they say no any help greatly appreciated as I'm at the point where I am going to just rip it all apart and start over wich I dont want to do because it took me a while just to get it to here LOL thanx-Gary:banghead:

Ya me too that's why it's so frustrating, the only thing I can think of was after turbo install the DP didn't line up so I went to exhaust shop, they cut off the 2 1/2" flange and pipe all the down to the flex and even cut that out and swapped it for 3" flange, pipe and flex section and welded it up to the rest of the 3" Downpipe...now, is it possible that it was crap quality flex section that has collapsed?? Would the make you go from fully boosting to nothing? That is about my last idea...

I'd uncap that nipple and see what happens. Maybe that's the problem in the first place. Since thats the only thing you changed.

Where are is your current boost source for the mbc. If there are no leaks make sure your wastegate is working. on a stock car if your wastegate arm ever fell off thats exactly what would happen.

Sounds like your wastegate is screwed up to me.

thats what I was thinking, but its such a tight fit to get at and to take off to check...looks like I have no choice, I asked punishment if it was possible that it somehow got stuck open but they said no way due to getting boost with no boost source hooked up...but I still wanna go with my first thoughts regardless wich is that the gate is stuck open or wont fully close. I have to go 11 hrs back up north to work tho so I'm not going to get at it untill next monday at least, I was hoping for some input or solution before I left but looks like I gotta wait, Thanx for for you input fellas, keep it comin-Gary

running boost right off compressor cover of turbo, then the first "L"pipe of the intercooler piping also had a boost source nipple on it that I capped off

it seems to me that it is a wastegate problem also. why dont you try to cap the compressor source and use the intercooler source for the boost source..... just to see if anything changes.

The thought crossed my mind but I never did it, I'll give it try when I get back, Thanx-Gary

Turned out to be failed wastegate springs. Punishment sent new ones, everything is running fine, boost is hitting like it supposed to, thanx to all who replied and gave their input, muchly appreciated.
