oregon smog

How hard is it getting my car smog in oregon? I'm gonna have a built head with cams, vacuum delete, emission delete, exhaust coming out of the front bumper. My car is gonna pretty much have everything aftermarket. I have never registered in oregon so I have no clue what they check on

Smog test only apply in Portland, from what I know, so you are good anywhere else.

When I registered my car they didn't even check the VIN.

well, where I live they check the vin #'s and make sure all the lights work and stuff when you get it registered, but no emissions test. I'm not sure how far the laws go for when they start spewing blue and black smoke tho

are you awd or fwd. I am in oregon with a pretty heavily modified 2g and mild 1g. 2g awd is easy. But I would suggest not trying to pull off front exhaust on a street car here. They aren't as picky as cali, but don't have the damn exhaust not exiting behind the rear tires. They notice that shit and will fail you. If not the cops will write you a fix it ticket. Then you do have to go to smog stations. Make it subtle and it will get through fine. 2g awd only checks codes etc, no underhood check or rolling sniff check. If you have dsm link make sure you have quick connect disabled because it wont communicate with their computer if its checked. Just do some exhaust with the magnaflow half offset mufflers and they make good power and aren't to annoying. (in my red beater 1g I never get a second look from the cops if I am behaving)

im "moving" to brookings, oregon a real small town its 20 minutes from where i currently live. has for my car its a 2g awd have ecuflash/SD. i talked to a few locals that live in the town they dont smog only register

Either way, if you roll around with no muffler and the exhaust is coming out of the bumper. Any po-dunk town cop can notice that. And Although your not required to smog that is a citeable violation.

alright ill have that in mine im just gonna make a electric cutout exhaust im not too worried about it, its not my dd just my street/strip car
