Ordering Replacement axles, WTF? 95 awd

Ok, ordering new front axles, for 1995 5 speed tsi awd with abs.

first axles i get, are both the exact same, no place to insert the halfshaft, obviously wrong part. not to mention they are twice as heavy, thicker, and have weights center of the shafts.

ok.... mabye since the car build date is 1994, we will order 1994 axles.
1994 doesnt have a drivers side with abs that has female end for halfshaft,

Good luck. What brand were they? CCT? They don't have clue. Check in your area to see if there a local rebuilder. Everytime a customer brings one to me I get in my car and take there. They do it on the spot. Luckily they are only 40 miles from me. Worst case scenario you may have to have your original sent back.

damn crap.

now they tell me the abs axle is longer than the non abs axle.
i give up. im just gonna block the holes and mount some skateboards on the front end

Interesting...I have a 95 talon with a build date in 94...and abs. I got my axle done at the dealer (chrysler) for $220. I would have usually done it on my own but it was already in there for the lower lateral ball joint recall so I said what the hell. I would go to the dealer and have they get you an exact part.
