I have recently purchased an EVO3 16g turbo and am still on the stock pump injectors and FPR. I originally was going to just buy a Walbro 190 and rewire it while leaving the FPR and injectors stock but after some research it seems that it will not benefit me that much. Should I go ahead and get a FPR and a Walbro 255 with some injectors or just the FPR and 255? anything helps thanks!

A rewired with larger gauge wiring 255lph pump will keep up fine with 780cc injectors, you'll run out of injector first. I'd recommend a new fuel filter and filter to rail feed line be added at the same time. Most important though is that you have a way to tune for the bigger injectors. The 780s are a little big for a piggyback unless you're running E85. A used ECMLink setup would be ideal.

If I don’t require the fuel pump and just want to do FPR and injectors what would be the ideal setup then? I am having ECMLink installed onto my ECU soon so I can tune to whatever

It depends on how far you want to push the 16g and on what fuel, first step is injectors, you're going to outrun the stock ones almost instantly after raising the boost and tuning the car.

If you're shooting for 250-300hp on pump gas, some 700-800cc injectors and a 190 will do it all day long with the OEM FPR. If you're planning on running ethanol, it ALL needs to be changed.

Once you get close to the 300hp mark the pump will be close to its limits on pump gas. It all depends where you want to go with the car. Get ECMLink and a wideband installed before you do anything else.

I'm shooting for 300 and I am installing wideband as well as EGT and ECMLink. I am trying to run 93 pump.

The only real additional cost is an fpr and plumbing. After that you can choose a larger pump and not concern yourself with having enough fuel. That being said I would install an fpr and filter, buy a 255 or larger, get injectors for what you need and fuel you plan to run. If all of this decision is based on budget it'd a bad idea. Buy what you need. If all you will ever need is a 190 and 7-800cc injectors great. It's been my experience it's never enough. And concerning expenses you will likely need a better clutch etc. If you don't have it already.

I know I will need more supporting mods but I just wanna know what I need rn to not lean out if I put the new turbo on and slightly turn it up

You will immediately run out of fuel on a 16g if you turn it up. Bigger pump, injectors and something to control is the absolute minimum. Many of us choose to install a little larger injector, pump and required FPR just because we can. Do you HAVE to? No. I listed the absolute minimum.

If you aren't sure why you need an FPR or not we can explain.

Can I get a good recommendation for a FPR that’s not crazy over the top?

We have been using Aeromotive and FueLab FPR for ever and they work well. The FueLab one on my car is over 10 years old I bet. I would go straight to a Walbro 255 and rewire. That will support mid 400whp on e85 we have found so it gives some room to grow.

How easy was it to wire it all up?
There's no wiring, just AN lines. If you buy from Extreme PSI, the lines comes already assembled so it's super simple.

This is the last one I installed, New line from the Fuel filter to the rail and new line from the rail to the AFPR, then a vacuum line to the intake manifold.

I have no real mechanical training at all. Closest thing being dismantling interiors for paintless dent removal in the past, so I don't have a fear of taking things apart. It was the first time I ever messed with fuel and I found it super easy. I just followed a youtube video to be sure how to depressurize the fuel system, general assembly and to get myself past the "I don't know what I don't know" feeling that I get when before doing something new.

Honestly, the hardest part was figuring out the bracket for a mounting location and how I wanted to position the excess hose going to the fuel rail. Now that I see how Jason mounted it, I'll probably move it :D

Did you just mount it straight to the firewall? how did you actually bolt it on?

I just bolt it to a pre-existing hole.
just looked and I have a bracket there with some holes I could use. I think I am going to go with a 255 one of those Fuel Lab minis and probably pick up a set of 750cc injectors. Thanks for the help man!
