What's up everyone? Quick question, couldn't find quite the right answer I was lookin' for anywhere in the forums, so I figured I'd just post real quick....I have some extra funds comin' my way and I wanna waste, err...invest..., in a new exhaust system. Here are some options I may be thinkin' about - http://modacar.com/products/Mitsubishi/Eclipse/MODACAB
I want something that isn't obnoxiously loud, doesn't rattle, and has an overall smooth sound. If anyone has suggestions on what would sound good on my 98 GS-T Spyder, I'd greatly appreciate some input. Thanks! :thumb:

I got the Pit Performance exhaust from www.horsepowerfreaks.com. It's great. 3" SS catback, same design as N1 but has a different name and alot cheaper. It's around the same price as RNR but you don't have to wait 3 years and deal w/ shitty customer service.

If you have a good amount of $$$ to spend, get a Thermal R&D,

And if you have any extra $$ left over, you can me buy one too :D

I've had a few people suggest the Thermal R&D, so I'm thinkin' that may be the way I go...Have you heard one on an Eclipse by chance? I'm really curious as to how that sounds. I'll have to wait and see if I have an extra 600 bucks before I buy yours too though,

I used to have it on my 1st Gen, and damn did it sounds good, it's really deep and mellow, untill you get on it, and it sounds like a "mack truck" (this according to my friend) but if you are just cruising it's not too loud. and it shouldn't bother the neighbors either :thumb: .

Good luck

Thermal R&D is loud. When mated to a 3" downpipe, you will wake up the neighbors and struggle to have a phone conversation inside of you DSM. Dont get me wrong, it sounds awesome. My buddy (fertez_turbo) has it on his 1G and it's 300% louder than my 3" turbo-back. He likes it, but he gets pulled over for loud exhaust too. If you want something that's not too loud, then forget Thermal.

i absolutely love my apexi n1 3".

only true 3" catback out there for dsm's(unless you have one custom built or piece it together yourself). really quiet. sounds beautiful too, like a dsm should...and it definately looks great coming at an angle like that....

I've got a custom 3" turboback with a highflow cat and one resonator between the cat/muffler and I LOVE the sound. At idle its a nice deep throaty 'puh puh puh' :D and even at highway and WOT it's not too loud, but noticable.
