i was wondering if an open downpipe would have adverse effects on a turbo and engine? would there be issues with creep or spike? i have not yet ran an open downpipe but may try it just for amusement tonight. should i not do it considering i dont even have a MBC to control any kind of boost with. how bad would it be for my car to run this way? also, if i run it this way do you think that i run a higher risk of blowing my head gasket, i feel it is about to go anyway. thanks. oh, and please dont flame me...i know im asking a stupid question but then again "the only stupid question is one not asked" haha.

Take it off, you will get more response out of your engine, your engine doesnt need scavenging since its a turbo car it gets enough backpressure from that. You will probably throw a CE light but other then that you will be fine. Its going to sound like shit tho

Depending on how much boost you're running, and what other mods you're running, you could possible see a fireball Disconnect the recirc hose from the BOV and i guarantee you'll see some major flames coming from your bottom end =x And yes, it really does sound like shiz =x
