I have a 1g tsi awd. I have fell inlove with the axis hiro wheels. I want them so badly. I was waiting for my tax returns to get them. I got my tax returns tonite. I thought i was going to order them tonite. I just realized that they dont come in a 18 x 7.5. Just a 18x8.5 and up. Will they fit with a 35mm offset. Just let me how they would work, if possible.

thanks,
Anthony

215s would be fine on a +35 on a 2G, but 215s are too skinny for an 8.5"-wide wheel. And please do a bit more searching next time, please.

I have searched. everything I found was for 2g's. Nothing useful for 1g's

1G's can not tuck wheels w/ low offsets as good as 2gs can. My friend has EVO8 wheels on his 1G (17x8 38mm offset) and his wheels stick out further than my 17x8 w/35mm offset. Both of us are running 245/40 tires too :dsm:

You won't be able to run 18x8.5" wheels on a 1g without flares. I've got evo 8 wheels and the clearance inside is really tight while the outside sticks out 2" in front and barely hides under the rear.

what about 18x8's, what offset do I need to run those, if possible?

The Evo 17x8 +38 offset barely clears the rear control arm and the 245/40 tires barely clear the front strut towers. 245/45 tires rubbed the front struts on hard corners. If you run coil overs and grind the lip of the rear control arm you could bring it in a ways but not enough to avoid needing flares or at the very least bending out your front fenders.

LOL i think ill just stick with the 7.5's. Thanks for all the help man
