i have been reading and reading, i have yet to read about someone tuning with the og afc 5 knob. I hoped to find more info because i have one. I am supposed to to get the logger cable in on the 14th. This is my first time logging via egt gauge. i just wanted to know if it is posable to tune with this since every one is running afc2's.

mahalo.

will post my results of tuning once I figure it out.

I use one... I picked it up a while ago, as it was a lot cheaper then compared to the SAFC2. The way I understand it, the 5 knob version doesn't have the high/low throttle setting like the SAFC2 does, so it will just adjust based on RPMs alone. This could lead to bad fuel economy (but I still get around 180-200 miles per tank).

One thing FOR SURE is that you DO NOT want to tune off of EGTs ALONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wait until you get your logger setup first!! Then go off of fuel trims, timing advance, knock, and injector duty cycle.
