Vancouver,
hey guys one of my lights came on beside my gauges for some sort of liquid needs to replaced or something and i don't know wat the hell it is....its on the ride side of the gauges and it looks like its saying something bout a liquid...but i jus got everything checked out the other day....its a 95 talon if neone could lemme know wat this light means or where i can find out let me know. (it lights up orange if that helps and its under this light that looks like a bird cage or something haha )
thanx

Probably your washer resevoir light (#16 if the pic attached), keep in mind that if you have a non-turbo, you have one in the engine compartment and another in the trunk under the spare tire with a filler in the driver's side drainage trough under the hatchback.
Owner's manuals are often on eBay for about ten bucks, gitcha one.

...ill get back to u guys in a bit...thanx for the help so far :)

Doug99RS - How many idiot lights do we really need. Next there will be a light to warn us that the other warning lights are not working!!!

There!

Anyway, if the washer fluid level sensors are triggering the light... how do you check them?... No, don't help me .... hmmmmm...
...I KNOW - unplug the sensors. The one in front is in a very tight place that only itty-bitty Japanese fingers can get into... and the weather is soooo cold, but when you get around to it, try unplugging and see if the light goes away.
Let us know. We deserve to know!!! [After all these posts!!!]
Good luck,
JOEL

oh yea i found out wat it was.....haha....it was the washerfluid...but both rear and front are full....and the light is still on so i jus unplugged the sensor.... thas the fix for now...any other suggestions?

Do you know if it was the front one or the rear one at fault, or did you just unplug them both and say - the hell with it for now?

Well, this is knocking all the retards out there, not the guy who started this thread because he said he did NOT have an owners manual. But the "dummy lights" are not actually for complete dummies. They're for the ignorant people with enough intelligence to know to look in the owners manual to figure out what the light means.
There's really no helping the true dummies out there.

Testing that circuit. I'm assuming there's only two wires for it. One ground and the other voltage. Could be a 5 volt or battery voltage wire to complete the circuit and turn on the "Dummy" light. Check with a multimeter in voltmeter mode to see if you have that. plug in to each side of that connector and it should check both wires. Then if that all checks out fine, switch to ohmeter mode and check for continuity across the washer level unit. There should be no continuity in one position and a complete circuit in the other position. If you have only open, or only complete, then the switch is stuck.

If there's a three wires then one of them is ground, one is signal and the other is the reference voltage. I really don't think this system will be three wires so I won't explain unless asked.
Doug
