I was going to polish my Apex-i N1 exhaust muffler using metal polish when my friend said that might be bad to do because the polish could insulate the metal and make it get too hot.. Just wanted to make sure its ok to polish it, thanks.

Lol, it's really funny when friends think they know stuff and it just doesn't make any sense at all.

At least you came to the right place for real advice :thumb:

This reminds me of the time a friend of mine told me to hook up a nine volt battery to my amp so I could get an extra nine volts to my subs...yea most people are dumb.

Tell your friend to stop huffing the polish and let you use it on the muffler.

Your friend is retarded, kinda makes sense but not really.

Chroming usually makes an object retain heat, but even if your muffler did retain heat, it wouldn't matter, there is no performance loss involved.

Worst case scenario, IF your muffler got too hott, you'd melt a lil bit of your bumper, but that wouldn't happen because you are repolishing an already polished muffler.

hahahaha......I polish mine all the time.....even I knew that was safe to do.....and I get teased for being a girl.....hahahha......okay I'm done. :D

That's funny.

You should hook up a 9 volt battery to the + and - terminals of your sub, though. It's cool. Then take it off and reverse the polarity and do it again. :)
