I was looking at installing a Oil Pressure Gauge as my 420a obviously does not have one. I already have one picked out I am planning to buy however the part that has be kinda stumped is the install.

Planning On 3 tier pillar however where i am curious what is the best way to setup the oil sending unit for the gauge?

Is there an extra Port on the 420a for this use? Do i tap into the stock port on side near firewall?

I've even given thought to the sandwich plate for the oil filter but I've heard they tend to leak so kinda steering away from that.

I have it connected to one of the unused ports on the oil filter housing. There are most likely 2 ports that are plugged. Remove the plug and put the sensor there. It is 3/8 BSP threads, so you will need an adaptor to 1/8 NPT.
