Iv got a 6 bolt motor in my second gen. My car is saying iv got around 9 psi on my oil preasure guage at idle and under load it shoots up to 40psi. I have my guage (autometer phantom mechanical ) taking the preasure reading from the head where the oil feed line normaly goes for the turbo. So my question for you guys is the spot that i have my oil guage hooked up now is that the reason im getting a low preasure reading or should i move it down to the oil filter block ?

Yes, the pressure's reading low because your gauge is running from the head instead of the filter housing.
