Oil pan removal

I'm trying to get my oil pan off right now and I can get it off due to it hangin on the rear main cap, I have all the pan bolts of and its hanging down, I have tried to pull this sucker out every which way, are there any secrets or what?

Did you remove the clutch inspection plate? Or dust cover. Which ever you would like to call it.

Are you sure its not getting stuck on the oil pick up. It almost always gets snagged when removing the pan.

its not hangin on the rear main it is hanging on the oil pup pick up tube....its hitting the windage tray part of the pan...hope this helps guy

What the above posters said, it's hanging on the pick-up. Lift the oil pan back towards the block and slide it towards the back of the car, guide it that way around the pick-up

As other have said...Its not rocket science...Its getting hung up on something.

Also 2 of the pan bolts are SHORTER than the rest. Make a note of these for re-installation. They go on the timing site of the pan. If you forget, the center bolt will rub the belt!
