So I've been noticing an accumulation of oil puddling up on my intake manifold. It's down in the valley past the injectors. It has me baffled. I'm really not sure where oil would be coming from here. I see 1 or 2 intake manifold to head bolts looks a little oily. Does any of those bolts go into a oil supply, and need thread sealant? Just as a side note, I just recently went through the hole upper end.

Yeah I replaced the valve cover, PCV, and gasket. Because the previous owner overtightened and cracked the valve cover. And it doesn't seem to be coming from either of those areas. It's more on the driver side, on the cylinder 1 & 2 runners of the intake. But it's running downhill and puddling in the valley. Anybody ever ran into this?

I think I'll try something. Push a few papertowels down there. So if that's where it's coming from, it will drop down on the towels. Showing signs of its path. But your probably right. Hopefully that's all it is. Thanks for the help.

If the cap is indeed the source of the leak, the entire cap does not need replaced. You can actually replace just the gasket, or double up on them. That is what the screw is for underneath (or above) on the cap itself.

Yeah after my head job I did that, doubled up trick. As the old was dried up. It's not perfect, it still seeps just a little. But it looks like the big source is actually the center rear valve cover bolt. It's a new gasket, & new bolt set. I'm not sure why it would be leaking there? I think I'll take it loose, and use some right stuff gasket to hopefully fix.

Rite Stuff will seal it but if you have to work under the vc again its a bi*** to clean out of the groove. I would suggest grey rtv. It is thick, cures fast and easily removable.
Look for any cracks if you take it off, they are kinda fragile.
