OK so i have done some research here and there about Oil Catch cans and PVC valves. My problem is that my motor is leaking oil into my intercooler piping and into my intake! im going though like 2 quarts of oil every 2 weeks! i do have BC 272 cams in my head and i am running the stock lines to the intake manifold and intake. I know this is caused by pressure that is build up in the motor and is suppose to be venting out. So my plan is to fix this problem before i put in my new FMIC, what will i need to fix this problem? Oil catch cans, new PVC valves etc.. also what would be best 2 catch cans or 1? sealed or filtered? diagrams showing how to hose the catch cans would be lovely for either 1 or 2 catch cans. Thank you all so much!

Compression and leakdown tests, do them. Test the PCV Valve as well.

Oil in the intake isn't the problem, it's the symptom. The problem is excessive crankcase pressure. Fix the problem, not the symptom.

+1 on turbo seals, because that is the only "closest place" where oil is closest to your intake air

in which section exactly is this oil leak being detected? before intercooler piping? after intercooler piping?intake/ bov piping or at the intake manifold??? have you removed your EGR valve?

this info will determine for sure where its coming from!

Since you're likely rebuilding your turbo anyway, you may consider running a smaller feed, or larger drain, unless you suspect some other reason for failing seals.

Im running stock feed & return line from a 1g on my 16g on it. Im also getting a SS feed line and a bigger return line for it. But is it was my blown seals wouldnt i be burning white smoke out of my exhaust? I am leaking it on the floor and what not and it coming from under my intake and right under my passenger side headlight where one of my intercooler piping is. How can i check for blown seals on a turbo? wouldnt my exhaust wheel show signs of wet/oily ness and wouldnt my downpipe have some oil in it? Thanks for Feed back keep it coming..

also i dont have any of these http://www.usplastic.com/catalog/item.aspx?itemid=23369&clickid=redirect
on my lines, i sent it to RRE to get all my hosing redone and i notice they didnt put one of these. also all of my hose are not connected to any sensors, they asked me if i wanted it set up for "race" or "smog" i said race thinking i was gona be cool.. so could this also help?

they only way is to remove the turbo and pretty much "rebuild" it with new gaskets and orings. maybe its just a clogged passage that needs cleaning. (dont put a inline oil filter now because you will possibly starve the turbo and blow it if clogging is the case).

also you have a boost leak. maybe no so bad because your oil in the piping acts as a light sealant but i would count on it because pressure is too high that i believe it is pushing the oil out thru any "holes/leaks" it just cant push the oil up past that elbow.

ok i found this thread
http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/bolt-tech/379977-excessive-oil-intake-pics.html

and i am having these similar problems that he is having. Jusmx141 looked at his turbo a ruled it out, but of course i need to take my turbo out and check it. Im thinking my turbo is same if not better shape then his because i dont have any shaft play. So for now can we rule out oil seals(not saying its not the problem)but idk if he solved his problem. Any other ideas?

I think you may have a bad pcv, and when you get into boost your loading the crankcase with pressure, and spraying oil into your intake...I mean theres only a few places this can come from and by the looks of it, it's out of your VC breather.

Get a PCV that actually works, (can only blow through one side)

Yeah that what i was thinking, Cound anyone possible show me where i could buy a good PVC valve. Also what would be best to run 2 catch cans or 1? Sealed or filtered?

Correct^^^

Before I bought a check valve for my last set-up, I just went to autozone and opened every single pcv valve until I finally found one, just one that worked correctly.

If you can blow through both sides of the PCV valve than it isn't working correctly..Autozone sells PCV valves that 7/8 dont even work correctly.

How do you sell a check valve, that doesn't work...??

If your pushing out that much oil you have problems in other areas besides the pcv system. You nned to do a compression and leak down test to get a ideal of what shape the rings are in. Also check you intake piping near the turbo and see if theres oil there.

Man you don't know how long it took me to figure this out.

Mine had the same problem when I bought a cheap turbo, it is the turbo seals they are blown. That is what is letting the oil into the intercooler piping, hope this helps!

Thank all for the help, im going with the PVC system upgrade as Calan did. If this fails then new 16g here i come.. =(
