Ok so I have a 97 spyder eclipse that I bought recently and it has a oil leak that I can't seem to track down it doesn't leak at a idle or while parked but when I drive it starts leaking and smoke rolls out the back of the car constantly not from the exhaust pipe I've narrowed the leak down to the front of the motor on the bottom please help thanks in advance

I may recommend that you clean the suspect area really well. If it is clean, then you may find it easier to locate your leak. Your oil pressure will increase with load (driving the car in gear), which may be why the leak is more apparent while driving.

second^^^^^

Clean and make sure is everything dry before driving it, once you have it dry and clean, make a really short drive, and see if it leaks, if it doesn't, then make another longer drive and so on till you see where is the leak coming from.

The turbo oil return line is very common to leak, so I would check that.

Thanks for your input everyone I'm about to clean the bottom of the motor and try to trace down the problem

So many places to leak from! Crank seal, cam cover then lean down, tranny seals, oil pan, oil drain bolt/worn washer! Oil filter or the housing its self, turbo return hose. Soo many places and sometimes its not easy to find!

you really struggle buy some engine dye and put it in your oil to locate the leak

I was going to add another place to check. Have you ever taken the exhaust manifold off or messed with the studs? The bottom center stud has an oil port going through it, if its not completely sealed, it's going to leak oil on the front of the motor
