I replaced my knock sensor and drove my car for about an hour to see if there was a difference. Great there was but on the way home I noticed a strange noise coming from the driver side. when I got home there was oil everywhare under the car and all over the timing belt area. When I took the cover off the belt was messed up and frayed. I just got done replacing the belt but I couldn't find any sure place whare the oil is leaking from  . The car runs great with the new sensor and belt but the oil leak is still there. If anyone has any ideas on what it my be please tell me.

if ya just replaced it , how much s hit did you remove ? most people use the rule, THREAD SEAL ANYTHING that goes into the block. ( not thread lock ) im pretty sure there are a few bolts you remove that do pass into the block were oil is present

Not to much nothing that would reach all the way into the block, I removed everything so you could see the timing belt and that is it, no sprokets were removed, nothing that would even cause any type of leak that I would know of. My worries are that the crank seal is shot or the oil pump seal(s) are shot. Remember this happened when I came home, so I do not know whare the leak is origanted from.

Well, now that everything is disassembled I looked at my valves and found that a couple are really messed up. :thumbdown I'm getting a complete rebuild on the engine. Looks like I'll be without a car for some time but it will have basicaly a new engine when it's done.
