what goes there? a line? and where do i connect it to...an oil cooler? i have no funds at the moment will a line that connects to both be quick solution for now i know the turbo gets the oil hot which is bad but right now i just want to turn the car on and hear it idle...

Those blue fittings are what connect to the lines for the Oil Cooler. How do you plan on connecting the two together? Do you not have the Oil Cooler yet? You can pick up a used oil cooler from a junkyard if you must here it idle, but you would be better off waiting until you can afford what you want/need.

I ran a Non-Turbo motor in a TSI/AWD for 1.5 years with no oil cooler at all, I never had any ill effects. But, you don't want to mess up those fittings by trying to jimmy-rig something together to hear the motor run.

Those are the in and out ports for an external oil cooler. You can loop them with a line and bypass the cooler, but it's probably not the best idea especially in hot climates. Some people do it though.

BTW - They are most likely -8AN fittings, so a simple SS line with straight -8AN ends, about 6-10 inches long should work fine. Or you could go with a shorter line with 90* ends...either will work fine.

thanx for the info and yeah im not running the car im just going to hear it idle that's all...
