Do you guys recommend the use of oil filter relocaters? I ask this because I got my 3inch 02 eliminator RNR exhaust put in, and now when i tried to change the oil the filter had zero room to come off.... Its was ugly, had to use a hammer, claw end, to turn it enough to get loose, then physically bend it inward and punch it out. So now I cant fit another in there... Just looking for an easy fix that wont hurt anything. Thanks guys!

Do they make em much smaller? Because seriously... When the filter was on tight I couldnt fit anything between the filter and downpipe, it would have to be at least 1-2 inches smaller than stock.

Did you try taking the downpipe off? 4 bolts later you'll have all the room you need. I assume if you just replaced it, the gaskets and bolts are in good shape. If they're tough to remove, get new bolts and smear just a little anti-sieze on them when you put them in.

A filter relocater can be a little risky. If a hose gets old and brittle, you can suddenly and severely loose oil pressure. But as long as you make sure you have no leaks, and inspect it each time you change the filter, they are pretty reliable. Just give the car a little more time to build up oil pressure before you launch it out the driveway.

I read a thing on here about a guy buying that and having your same problem. It was quite easy to find. He used the new evo oil filter and said it was half the size of a dsm filter. Tell me how it turns out if you use the filter cause I'd also like to go this path with my upgrade..

I built my own o2 eliminator section and had to relocate. I love it I put my filter out next to the left tiedown ring so the filter is just a little higher than the ring to protect it. No more oil drzzled all down the crossarms when you change the filter and I can reach it without burning my hands on the exhaust. :D :thumb:

Want to make us a VFaq on how to do that one? Might give ya more brownie points :thumb:
