oil filter question

not sure about the 1g as much ... but I think if you go much bigger than you'll have problems with the filter hitting the downpipe. I think the 2g filter is bigger and bolts right on but I'm not sure. I read that some people use 1g filters on 2g cars because with the 2g filter it hits their 3" downpipe or something.

Ive got a 2.5 dp and plan on using a 90 oil filter housing so that eliminates clearance problems. Just looking for a larger filter with the same thread pitch and sealing diameter.

hmm ok. Well like I said I think the 2g filter is bigger and will work. Not 100% sure though. I coulda checked last night cause I threw out the 1g filter that was on my 6 bolt block .. so I coulda compared. 24 hours too late!!

I use the 1g mopar filter on my 2g because it is twice the size of the listed one for my car.
It is mopar fe230. So I think you should get that one or if you already have it stick with it. :thumb:
