Oil feed line doesn't fit, clearance issues

Ok... this is the last thing I need to put into my car for it to work. My stainless oil feed line. HOWEVER, it has no clearance. HOW IN THE #### DO YOU GUYS PUT THESE IN THERE?

And here is the fitting hitting on the metal bracket. No matter what it turns 1-2 times and hits.

I'm about to just go get a straight fitting... but HOW do you get it to fit on there? I have the whole stainless oil feed line, because I got a new evo 3g w/install kit.

Is it the turbochargers.com 2g install kit? I think I just put some teflon tape on the threads and then screwed it in as far as it goes, and it was snug.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe you have that fitting in the wrong location, here is a pic from RRE that shows where they mount theres http://www.roadraceengineering.com/instructions/oilline/oillineinstalled-2g.jpg. Hope this helps.

i used the middle hole also like in the RRE pic, however it would hit the sensor so i used a straight flare fitting with a 45* adapter

AH I see it now. His are just so rounded I couldent tell. What would you do if the thing was stripped?

the one you are putting it in is the OIL RETURN. you have to get the other one out and use it. Be carefull putting in the elbow, remembering it is on an angle.

Tip.
when you are installing the fitting, stop with it aimed down alittle, so its easier to get your line on. and then give it another tug up to the right angle, otherwise youll have trouble getting the line on.

Yeh, its just a matter of getting elbow in just the right spot... It took me a while, but I got it in there, leaks a little though so I have to tighten it a bit.

Lol it hasnt been snapped off, actually, i had some fellas over helping me work on the car, and i was busy with someting, and the doodz was like "ill go ahead and put in the sending unit for you" im like, you know where it goes? hes like sure.

Your priorities are amiss - Please spend a few bucks on a REAL Oil Cooler & LOP Sensor before you regret it, BOTH of those items are a MUCH higher priority than these Stainless Oil Lines that pick up heat all the way across the front of the Engine Bay - The ports, Lordpaxins IS PRE Filter but it ALL gets Filtered sooner or later so WTF? & yes the empty hole in FAYT's OFH is POST Filter - The Allen Plugs are Loctited in & will come out easily after a quick shot of Hi Heat from a Propane Torch.

I am using the Port that the Stock 2g oil line was in.

I do have a filter mounted inthe top of the turbo Tho.

so your saying im not getting fresh oil into my line?

I'm not saying that location is wrong whatsoever - I said it ALL gets Filtered sooner or later so W T F ? I would expect a little Higher Oil Pressure PRE filter than POST Filter so I have no doubt RRE knows what they are talking about.

Your Oil Gauge 'Bell" location is Stock so certainly that should be OK.

I AM saying that those old POS Water to Oil Coolers gotta go ~!
