so. it started in the winter where i started leaking oil and would have to add a quart halfway through my oil change period. being that i didn't have a garage to work in, it was too cold to work on it. so when it started getting a little warmer i changed the valve cover gasket. well that didn't seem to work because it's not as bad, but still leaking oil and not sure from where. the weird thing is that the oil is everywhere....it's on top of the valve cover, all down the back of the block and all over the bottom of my car and on everything and looks like there's a lot on the right side around the valve cover, but nowhere on the front of the block.....so last night i went and picked up the oil leak dye kits and added the dye to my engine oil and the coolant system. after running the engine for about an hour and going down the highway i come back home to check and cant find the dye anywhere....wonderin if anyone has any suggestions? this leak is startin to piss me off....

edit

so looked under the car again. i can see what might look like a bit of dye on the bottom of the engine and on a few bolt heads. hard to tell because it doesn't glow a whole lot....so not sure if it is the dye or just the oil its self....but no vibrant glows coming anywhere from the engine that i can see..

so i thought i'd look under the hood again and look for the dye and finally found it. it looks like it is coming from around the camshaft position sensor. is there a gasket behind that?

perfect. most likely my culprit then since i had quite a bit of dye on it.
