Figured I'd put this out here and see if this is normal.
This is on a 2G.
The motor was recently assempbled. The short block was aquired assembled with the balance shafts eliminated. The bearings were also replaced. Previous owner owner ran the short block for about 4k miles before I got it. The head came off of a 99. I put the two together using new gaskets and ARP head studs. Car fired up on the first try.
My question is this. After driving the car or having idle and then shutting it off, I can hear the oil dripping back in the pan. like clunk clunk clunk. I've never noticed it when the old motor was in there.
Is this a normal thing or should I be concerned.
The oil has been changed about 3 times since motor has gone in. Filter as well. I'm using 10W40. I was told to use that by a wiseman.
Let me know if I should be concerned.
