So I have a 1g 7bolt 4g63 that i'm having machine work done to. I had my crank polished and the machinist tells me the it's in the low end of spec (as in if anymore is taken off I'd need to have it cut and go with different bearings). Well the point im getting to is low end of spec + standard bearings= more oil clearance. This means that my freshly rebuilt engine is gonna be barely in spec when it comes to oil clearances. The way people talk about 7bolts crankwalking on here have me worried, is this gonna give me better chances of crankwalk? or will I be fine. To me it seems like Im asking for bearing failure but the machinists insists I will be fine and states that most people who build their engines to beat the sh*t out of them go with more oil clearances for better oil flow. Sorry about the long post and any help would be appreciated. Also, I forgot to mention it is a na block that does'nt have oil squirters.

if its within spec, its within a spec that mitsubishi said is acceptable.
its up to you.. do you ever plan on going turbo with this motor?
