i tried searching for it and read countless articles but still cant find a definite answer to my question. which is if my 2g engine walks can i still reuse the transmission? i think i know the answer which is yes i can but i just want to make sure before i put in my new transmission. thank you

Crankwalk is premature thrust wear inside the motor, nothing to do with your transmission. You will be fine re-using it.

yes you can still use your old tranny but you should consider upgrading some more parts while you're at it..like clutch, flywheel, throwout bering, fork, and pivotball. I made the mistake of not doing this at the same time and I had to drop down my tranny like 3 times. I've heard alot of stupid people say that if you rebuild the motor that it will damage your tranny or viseversa. this in my opinion is not true at all.

What is the amount your able to move a good crank, like if your pulling on the shaft isn't it like .005?
