crankwalk question

[Silver 95]

hey guys,
i've got a 95 gst that recently crankwalked and i was reading on another forum that once they crankwalk, they're likely to do it again. is this true. ive still got the 2g engine in it. it's just been rebuilt and the head has been ported and the balance shafts removed but i have 1 g cams now.
any comments..... suggestions would be nice. and i've already been told to put in a 7 bolt. as much as i would love to do that, i asked my wallet and it said no fu king way

1g/6bolt engine are not WELL known for crank walk but it does happen just not as often and is pretty rare, A 6bolt is your best bet if you rebuild your 7 you will have the same problem 1000x sooner! pretty soon you would run out of money and wonder why you just didnt buy a new car!

I would be interested to know how you diagnosed your "crankwalk" and if it was the true death of your engine.


I would put a 6 bolt in it for insurance and have a good time.

Yep. What would your wallet say if you put in a 7 bolt and that walked(not for sure, but a greater chance than with a 6 bolt).
